'HERAS MULTIMESH' PANEL BALL-COURT |
|
|
 |
'MULTIMESH' BALL-COURT SYSTEMS |
| These systems incorporate the unique Heras rebound panel, at the bottom of the fence, up to height of 2.0 metres. The configuration of this mesh panel was specifically to provide a perfect 'rebound board', being extremely strong and providing a uniform bounce. The panel is manufactured from 6mm
vertical wires and 8mm horizontal at approx 68mm centre, with every third horizontal reinforced with 'twin wires', up to a height of 1.2 metres. Horizontal reinforcing rails can be incorporated, if required. The many benefits of preferring this mesh panel to a mare traditional timber panel are detailed on the adjoining page. |
|
STANDARD MODULAR DESIGN |
| The 'multimesh' panels combine with pallas mesh panels, all fitted to a 'box selection' steel framework, to achieve an overall fence height of 3, 4 or 5 metres or a combination thereof (for example a 3 metre high court that
increases to 5 metres behind each goal). The basic details and outline specification for standard fence lines are shown in the illustration above. In corners, post
centres are brought in, so that the mesh panel can be run past the posts and clipped together. |
|
'DOUBLE-SKIN' OPTIONS |
| It is possible for the 'multimesh' panels to be fixed to both sides of the post, where a fence is dividing two courts. This provides a rebound surface to each court. |
|
|
|
BENEFITS USING MULTIMESH REBOUND PANELS
|
| LONG
LEVITY |
|
| Mesh rebound boards will outlast timber counterparts, which tend to wrap, distort and degrade due to moisture absorption and retention. |
| EASE OF INSTALLATION |
|
| Mesh boards are easier to install than timber boards. |
| VISIBILITY |
|
| With mesh rebound boards , visibility into the court is unimpaired.
There are no 'blind spots' or hiding places. |
| EASE OF MAINTENANCE |
|
| Timber boards often need to be treated at various stages. Mesh boards are virtually maintenance free. |
| NO GRAFFITI |
|
| Unlike timber boards, Mesh does not provide a suitable
canvas for graffiti artist |
| COLOUR OPTIONS |
|
| Mesh rebound boards can be coated in
a variety of colours to match or contrast with the upper mesh, and with the
environment. |
| NON-INFLAMMABLE |
|
| Mesh boards are likely to attract the attention of would be arsonists and vandals |
| NO DEBRIS TRAP |
|
|
With timber boards, it is not unusual for wind blown
debris to accumulate against them. This is far less a problem with mesh boards, which allows rubbish to be blown through and away. |
| RIGIDITY |
| The rebound panels are specially designed to be
the strongest, most rigid panels available for this purpose. |
| COMPETITIVE PRICING |
| The mesh rebound boards compare very favourably price-wise with phenolic-coated plywood boards |
|
 |
| GOAL
RECESS AREAS |
 |
| The systems incorporate a standard option for goal recess areas utilising smoothly rounded cover plates, as illustrated here.
|
PALLAS PANEL BALL-COURT SYSTEMS |
|
 |
PALLACE SYSTEMS |
| As with the 'multimesh' systems, Pallas systems are available in heights of 3, 4 and 5 metres, and basic details of
specifications and system configurations as shown in the outline above. |
| |
| 'HOCKEY BOARD' OPTION |
Both the Pallas system and the single skin 'multimesh' system are available with 'universal' fixing brackets that facilitate the attachment of timber hockey boards along the bottom of the fence. The brackets can accommodate boards between 150 and 350mm in height, and thickness up to 50mm. The hockey board is fitted in front of the mesh.
|
| GRADIENTS |
| By there very nature, ball-courts are generally flat, but often a very gentle gradient is required to assist drainage. This gradient can be achieved using the system, utilising standard posts, but stepping panels to set distances - details can be provided on request. |

TWO POST OPTIONS |
| a) HERAS 'HEXAXLIP RHS' POST |
| HIGHLY SECURE FIXINGS |
|
|
|
These RHS posts have a unique and patented fixing method specially designed by Heros to give maximum possible
resistance to vandalism and attempts to force entry. The welded mesh panels
are located on the face of post
with two piece clips fixed with 'anti-tamper'
bolts. These clips firmly clamp the end vertical wires, providing on
extremely secure fixing.
The
clips are factory fitted using hexagonal inserts that cannot work loose and 'spin' during
the installation process (which can be a weakness in any system using round inserts). |
 |
| Attractive And Strong |
|
| Manufactured from 60x60x2mm steel section, 'Hexaclip' posts
are not only sleek and aesthetically pleasing but also
possess inherent strength. |
| b) HERAS 'HEXACL|P PYTON' POST |
THE 'HERAS CHAPERON' RANGE |
| This option is a welded steel lattice post manufactured from mild steel
rod with corner bars 9.00mm in diameter and internal zigzags 6.O0mm
in diameter round. Standard line posts are triangular in shape, whilst
corner posts are square. Pylon posts have been strength tested and
proven comparable in performance to British Standard concrete posts.
Pylon posts for the Chaperon range incorporate
a fully welded flat bar
from top to bottom, with hexagonal holes so that mesh panels are
attached in the same manner as with the RHS option, utilizing exactly the
same clip design. The Pylon option therefore provides similar in-built
security features, but with an elegantly unobtrusive aesthetic appeal. |
|
|
| Anti-Tamper Bolts |
| Both systems
are supplied with, as standard, Heras head bolts This patented head can be readily tightened utilizing o No.4 Pozidrive screwdriver However,
a screwdriver cannot be used to untighten, having simply nothing to grip
(see illustration). The bolts are manufactured from case hardened steel, with a shallow dome head, to resist
attack from drills, chisels and the like. They are finished with a JS 500 coating making them highly corrosion
resistant. |

| STYLISHLY APPEALING |
| The systems within the 'Heras chaperon' range are idea where security is required but without on oppressive and intimidating appearance' They are designed to be strong and resilient and yet remain unobtrusive and elegant. Coming as they do in a wide choice of colour these
systems are capable of blending into their environment or enhancing their surroundings as a design feature. |
| A SPECIFIERS CHOICE |
| The Chaperon range provides the specifier with mix and match options involving two attractive panel designs and two unique post designs such is the flexibility and versatility of these systems that they
are suitable for all types of enclosure, and will never
look out of place |
| BUILT-IN SECURITY |
|
Panels are welded and manufactured from heavy gauge wires. unlike some woven meshes,
a number of cuts are necessary before
access can be gained. The panels are designed with small vertical spacings, making climbing difficult. All fixings are tamper
proof. The
security aspect of these systems can be enhanced through the use of barbed wire or barbed (razor) tape toppings and all posts con be supplied with extensions to carry such toppings |
| INEXPENSIVE REPAIRS |
|
In the event of damage, there is a benefit in having chosen
a modular system in that individual panels and posts can be replaced without the need to review the whole fence. |
| MATCHING GATES |
| Heras manufactures a comprehensive selection of swing
gates, both single and double, that can be clad to match the chaperon range of
systems - full details are contained in our HGI literature. Also featured in separate literature are details of Heras cantilever sliding
gates
and tracked sliding gates |
| CHOICE OF FINISHES |
| All systems are available in a galvanised finish. In addition they can be colour coated, significantly increasing life-expectancy, in a wide choice of colours. Full details are available an application. |
| TWO PANEL OPTIONS |
 |
| a) PALLAS PANELS |
Pallas panels
are manufactured using 6.00mm vertical
wires and twin 8.00 mm horizontal wires which result in a very strong mesh and a very stable fence.
The mesh is 50 x 200mm, fully welded at every intersection.
As with triton panels, pallas gives
the option of installing the barbed
edge at the top of the fence or at
the bottom. A lighter gauge pallas panel (Pallas 'L') is also available incorporating 5.00mm vertical wires and twin 6.00mm
horizontal wires.
The width of pallas panels suits post centres of approx 2.50mtr and the following heights are available as standard:- |
|
| b) TRITON PANELS |
| Triton panels
are manufactured from 5:00mm thick
steel
wire with horizontal sections that significantly
increase the rigidity of the panel. The mesh itself is 50mm
x 2OOmm, fully welded on every intersection.
The panels have a barbed edge and a flush edge.
The client has the option of installing the barbed edge at the
top of the fence, as a defence to climbing,
at the bottom (For example where the
fencing is one of the lower
heights in a playground
situation.) The width of the Triton panels suits
post centres of approx
2.50mtr and the following heights
are available as standard:- |
